S&P Futures are lower this morning indicating weakness ahead. Tech stocks are the active issues as AMZN, INTC SNAP & TMUS all released earnings reports yesterday after the close. FRC is particularly active due to reports that authorities are working to secure further assistance for the regional lender. This morning, the employment cost index, personal income and spending, and the core personal consumption expenditures price index are all due ahead of the opening bell. The PCE index is one of the last major pieces of data before the Fed's meeting next week in which another 25 basis-point rate increase is widely expected. The CME FedWatch Tool is pointing to a 88% chance of a quarter-point rate increase next Wednesday by the central bank. European shares are lower with bank stocks under pressure. Oil prices are marginally higher this morning.
