S&P Futures are indicating a higher opening this morning. The key economic event today is the Jobless Claims report being released 1 hour before the market open. OPEC will be making an announcement this morning on production quotas that will create volatility in the sector today. PFE and GSK have spoken positively on the effectiveness of their Covid treatments against the Omicron variant. Lawmakers on Capitol Hill are said to be close to an agreement for raising the debt ceiling. Later this afternoon, watch for earnings releases from DOCU, MRVL, OLLI, COO, GWRE, ULTA, and SWBI. Key earnings released Tuesday included FIVE, SLPK, SNOW abd CRWD.

Meta Platforms Inc: Facebook asked a U.S. court on Wednesday to dismiss and not allow the refiling of an antitrust lawsuit by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission which urges a court to demand that the company sell two big subsidiaries.
Apple Inc: The company has told its parts suppliers that demand for the iPhone 13 lineup has slowed.
Amazon: AWS Announces Two New Initiatives That Make Machine Learning More Accessible

S&P Futures are displaying strong gains this morning. Asia closed higher, Europe in up and oil futures are pushing higher by 3% ahead of tomorrow's OPEC announcement. This morning we have the PMI data being released. There are a couple of important economic reports scheduled for release today including the ADP Employment Report and the EIA Stockpiles Report.

The markets in Europe and here in the U.S. are bouncing back as traders are awaiting more clarity on the likely transmissibility and severity of the Omicron variant and on the efficacy of the current vaccines. Covid stocks are displaying strong gain this morning, while casino stocks remain under pressure.

S&P Futures are dropping as global markets plunged. There is a new COVID variant detected in South Africa that is causing weakness in the markets. Sectors being hit hard include Airlines, Banks, Commodities, Energy, & Travel. Healthcare stocks are showing gains. Global market have all dropped 2.5%, S&P are only off 1.6% indicating that the market has room to move lower. Market is scheduled to close at 1:00 p.m. today.

S&P Futures are trading slightly lower this morning as traders awaited a busy day of economic data releases ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, plus minutes from the Federal Reserve's latest meeting. Oil prices moved higher yesterday on news that coordinated releases of strategic reserves. Retailers GPS and JWN are trading lower by 20% after releasing disappointing earnings last night.

S&P Futures are trading slightly lower this morning.This morning we are seeing rising bond yields. The yield on the benchmark 10-year bond also rose, reaching as high as 1.643% before easing to 1.624%. The key economic report today is the Surveys of Purchasing Managers report which is due for release 15 minutes after the market opens.
