S&P Futures are showing positive gains this morning following President Trump announcement of a trade deal with Japan. This event is creating global optimism as other countries look to finalize trade deals before the Aug 1 deadline. Talk with the EU and Tawain are scheduled for today. Later today, President Trump will unveil a sweeping Federal AI Action Plan and sign up to three executive orders intended to accelerate U.S. leadership in artificial intelligence. U.K. regulators are proposing new rules on mobile device app stores. This morning's key economic data point will be the Exhisting Home Sales Report. On the earnings front, GEV, CB, CALM, ISRG & COF are higher after their releases. TXN is moving lower after their announcement last night due to concerns on forward guidance. After the bell today, earnings releases are expected from GOOG, TSLA, IBM, TMUS, NOW, URI, CMG and ORLY.

S&P Futures are displaying some weakness this morning as market await a catalyst. Tariffs, Trade and Earnings remain hot topics for the markets. President Trum is scheduled to meet with the president of the Philippines today. Discussions are expected to focus on trade negotiation and security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. Markets are caution on a potential U.S. EU trade agreement as the EU is said to be preparing a list of possible retaliatory measures. The lack of movement in the U.S. India trade agreement has markets questioning if a deal will actually occur. On the earnings front, CCK, KO, MEDP & NOC are higher after their releases. NXPIT is moving lower after their announcement last night as tech expectations are elevated. After the bell today, earnings releases are expected from CB, SAP & TI.

S&P Futures are moving higher this morning ahead of a busy week of pending catalysts. This is a big week for earnings announcements, with a host of big tech results due out this week. Trade deals will be in focus this week as we are rapidly approaching the Aug 1 deadline. The European Union is said to be getting ready to push back on Trump tariffs. There is an ECB meeting this week. Shares of Block are higher this morning as it will be added to the S&P 500 on Wednesday morning. After the bell today are earnings reports from NXPI, STLD, CCK + MEDP. Tomorrow morning earnings releases are expected from KO, PM, RTX, LMT, SHW & GM

S&P Futures are extending their recent gains as earnings reports were positive and M&A activity starts to heat up. Fed Governor Waller came out swinging for a July rate cut, although this is unlikely to occur. On the economic front, the focus will be on the Michigan Consumer Sentiment report. President Trump is holding a dinner with republican Senators tonight to discuss key legislative priorities. Union Pacific is considering a bid for Norfolk Southern. The earnings report from Netflix was mainly positive, however the stock is trading lower this morning. AXP, IBKR, MMM And SLB are higher after releasing their earnings. On Monday morning VZ & DPZ are scheduled to report.

S&P Futures are flat to lower this morning with corporate earnings announcement in focus. GE, PEP, MMC AA & TSM are higher after their updates. On the economic front reports on Retail Sales and Jobless Claims are due out before the open. Trade deal talks with the E.U. heat up and an announcement is expected soon. China is pushing for its Cosco to be an equal partner in Blackrock MSC deal over ownership of western ports. After the bell today are earnings reports from NFLX & IBKR. Friday morning earnings releases are expected from AXP, MMM, SLB & SCHW.

S&P Futures are moving lower this morning due to this weekend's announcement from the White House on tariffs. President Trump has indicated his intention to impose 30% tariffs on the E.U. and Mexico starting August 1st. President Trump will be meeting with the Secretary General of NATO this morning, he is expected to make a major announcement on Russia today. Congress is set to vote on a series of Crypto bills this week. Boeing shares are higher this morning as Air India investigation points to pilot error. S&P Futures are moving lower this morning as the latest tariff developments have markets on edge. Continuing changes in tariff policy is a negative factor for markets. President Trump announced that tariffs on Canada will be 35% effective August 1st. He also indicated that new tariffs on the European Union will be announced soon. A trade agreement with India remains in focus. Achieving trade deals with other nations has proven to be difficult for the Trump administration. S&P Futures are displaying modest weakness this morning. After the bell yesterday, President Trump announced that the U.S. will impose 50% tariffs on copper imports. In addition, he also declared that imports from Brazil will be hit with 50% tariffs. Both are schedule to start on August 1st. The key economic event today will be the release of the Weekly Jobless Claims. In corporate news Delta is trading higher after an earnings beat. Boeing shares continue to climb as the Air India investigation appears to be focused on fuel switches and not a design flaw. Italian candy maker Ferrero appears to be nearing a deal to buy WK Kellogg for $3 billion. Costco released positive sales data for June and DLTR announced a large share buyback. After the bell today, WDFC & LEVI are set to report earnings.
