S&P Futures are positive this morning with multiple catalysts ahead. The key economic event today will be the FOMC announcement on monetary policy where a 25-basis point cut is expected. The latest dot plot data will be released which will likely show fewer and slower rate cuts in 2025. Powells press conference will likely be a source of market volatility. Congressional leaders reached a deal on government funding. Earnings reports after the bell today from MU, LEN, MKLN & SCS. Honda and Nissan are said to be exploring a merger. Post Holdings announces a deal for Potato Product of Idaho making a deal for Lamb Weston unlikely. Mastercard unveils new $12B stock buyback program. In Europe stocks trading higher and oil prices are displaying gains as the EU & the UK place sanctions tankers being used to transport Russian oil.

S&P Futures are slightly lower this morning as the Fed starts its two-day monetary policy meeting. Retail Sales report for November is due out before the opening. Earnings reports scheduled for tomorrow morning include TTC, BIRK, JBL & GIS. Pfizer is expected to release its 2025 guidance this morning. Meta says Threads has over 100m DAUs, 300m MAUs. President - elect Trump is said to be meeting with NFLX Co- CEO today. Congress remains at an impasse on the continuing resolution bill. In Europe stocks trading lower due to political instability concerns. Oil prices are ticking lower as China's economic data came in mixed.

S&P Futures are higher this morning as markets start to turn their attention to monetary policy. In the week ahead the FOMC, BOE, BOJ will be making monetary policy announcements. NASDAQ is adding PLTR, MSTR & AXON to the Nasdaq 100 index next week. Earnings reports are due out this week from MU, LEN, GIS, BIRK, CAG, DRI, CTAS, FDX & NKE. Congress must pass a continuing resolution by Dec 20th to avoid a partial government shutdown. In Europe stocks trading lower due to political instability concerns. Oil prices are ticking lower as China's economic data came in mixed.

S&P Futures are higher this morning as markets cheer last night's earnings report from AVGO. NASDAQ set to announce a rebalancing of its Nasdaq 100 index. Looking ahead to next week, earnings announcements are due out MU, LEN, PAYX, CTAS, FDX & NKE. FOMC meeting with announcement on Wednesday. The Fed will be updating their Dot Plot at this meeting. Congress needs to pass a continuing resolution by Dec 20th to avoid a partial government shutdown. In Europe stocks trading higher as market anticipate additional rate cuts next year, Oil prices are ticking higher as the Biden Admin is said to be preparing additional sanctions on Russian oil.

S&P Futures are higher this morning with inflation data in focus with the producer-price index for November scheduled for release. ADBE shares are falling due to its forward guidance. After the bell today, CSCO and AVGO are schedule to release earnings. ECB Monetary policy announcement is scheduled for this morning. Ceasefire agreement in Gaza is closer as Hamas makes concessions on hostages release and Israeli troops placements In Europe stocks trading slightly higher as markets await the ECB news. Oil prices are ticking higher as the Biden Admin is considering its options on Russian and Venezuelan oil.

S&P Futures are higher this morning and are in a tight trading range ahead of a key economic report. PLAY is falling after an earnings miss and CEO departure. LOW and M issued lower than expected guidance figures. The NASD 100 is set to be rebalanced on Friday, PLTR and MSTR are names being considered. ADBE is scheduled to release earnings after the close, COST & AVGO to report on Thursday. Monetary policy meeting in Canada today, The ECB meeting is scheduled for tomorrow. In Europe stocks trading slightly higher. Oil prices are higher by more than 1% this morning.

S&P Futures are displaying positive action in the pre-market. Economic calendar is light today and markets are looking ahead to tomorrow's inflation report (CPI). Microsoft is having a shareholder meeting today where a vote will be held on adding Bitcoin to its balance sheet. Speculation about a tie up between MDLZ & HSY would be challenging as a buyout of Hershey would require approval from the Hersheys Trust. AI, MTN & UNFI are higher after earnings. After the bell today PLAY and GME will be releasing. Macy's announced late yesterday that they now intend to release earnings tomorrow morning. President Biden is scheduled to speak today at 12:15 on his economic playbook. VP Harris on Tuesday said the Commerce Dept finalized the grant, which will fuel up to $125 billion in planned investments by Micron in New York and Idaho over two decades. In Europe stocks trading mostly lower in a reaction to weak economic data out of China. Oil prices are slightly lower this morning.

S&P Futures are displaying weakness this morning with key inflation readings due out this week. Advertising stocks are higher on M&A activity. APO and WDAY are being added to the SPX index replacing QRVO and AMTM effective 12/23. Earnings announcements this week include ORCL, TOL, PLAY, GME, ADBE, CIEN, COST, AVGO and LEN. In Europe stocks trading mostly higher with an ECB meeting this week, a rate cut is expected. Oil prices are higher this morning as China looks to boost its domestic economy.

S&P Futures are displaying weakness this morning ahead of today's Non-Farms Payrolls report. DOCU, HPE, LULU & ULTA are moving higher after releasing earnings last night. In Europe stocks trading mostly higher Frances's President is expected to name a new Prime Minster shortly. Oil prices are falling as OPEC announced the extension of production curbs into a weakening demand picture.

S&P Futures are slightly lower in a tight trading range this morning as markets await this morning's Jobless Claims report. PVH, S, SNPS and AEO are all lower after releasing earnings last night. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell spoke positive on the economy yesterday and said that the Fed can be more cautious on lowering interest rates. After the bell today, LULU, VEEV, HPE DOCU, ULTAGTLB & VSCO are scheduled to report earnings. In Europe stocks trading mostly higher despite the political discord in France. Oil prices are falling as OPEC announces its intention to hold back on production hikes until April of 2025.
