S&P Futures are trading higher this morning with positive momentum in technology stocks. Key topic at the Davos summit has been the development of AI. Earnings season is underway, multiple large cap stocks are scheduled to release next week. On the economic front today, we will be hearing from a host of Fed speakers today as the official black out period on Fed Speak starts on Saturday. Fed speakers are expected to continue with the theme of dampening spring rate cut expectations. In Europe, stocks are trading higher and oil prices are mixed to lower.

S&P Futures are pointing towards a strong opening this morning. Airlines, Autos and Tech sectors are trading higher. Central Bankers continue to dampen market expectations for rate cuts this spring. They continue to say that the data will determine the path of rate cuts. Markets will be paying attention to earnings and economic releases today. In the Middle East, tensions remain elevated, but the markets continue to see the situation as contained. In Europe, stocks are higher and oil prices are moving slightly higher as cold temperatures is affecting oil production in the U.S.

S&P Futures are trading slightly lower this morning with shares of Boeing off by 8%. The FAA grounded some of its jets due to safety concerns. Democratic & Republican leaders in Congress announced that they have reached an agreement to set the federal spending limit for the 2024 fiscal year at roughly $1.66 trillion. Fed speakers voice concern on markets expectations on rate cuts.
