S&P Futures are pushing lower this morning. Key catalyst this morning are the comments from Moody's about a possible credit downgrade due to the lack of effective government. Infighting in the republican party over leadership & the debt ceiling bill is putting Moody's credit rating on watch. The Auto works strike is entering its 12th day, without a resolution in sight. China's property sector is in a dire situation as Evergrande was unable to refinance its debt. In Europe, stocks are mostly lower. Oil futures falling due to economic concerns out of China.

S&P Futures are trader slightly lower this morning but are well off this morning earlier lows. Key factor today is the Chinese property sector as one of the major firms will likely be forced to liquidate. The Auto works strike continues without any progress over the weekend. Writers Guild struck a deal last night with movie and tv producers to end their strike. A governmental shutdown remains a possibility if no progress is made this week. Markets remain anxious and Friday's PCE data report will be a reoccurring topic this week. In Europe, the major indexes are lower. Oil futures are gaining this morning due to increased fuel demand out of China.

MSFT deal to buyout Activision got a positive indication from U.K regulators. AI and Fintech stocks are positive this morning, oil stocks are also higher. In Europe, the major indexes are mixed, but off their earlier lows. Oil futures are gaining this morning.

S&P Futures are trending lower this morning as the Fed's indicates that interest rates will remain elevated for longer. Dot Plot data sees only 2 rate cuts next year. FDX released better than expected earnings last night. An announcement is expected this morning that the writes strike is over. UAW & the Auto makers are nowhere closer to a deal and additional stike action is expected on Friday. Speaker McCarthy indicated that progress is being made on the defense-appropriations bill. Ukraine funding is becoming an issue. European stocks are lower this morning ahead of the Bank of England's interest rate decision. Oil futures are falling this morning as the Fed indicates slower growth ahead.

European stocks are mostly higher due to economic data released this morning. Oil futures are falling this morning as the markets appear to be overbought.

Talks between the auto makers and the UAW are stalling, the UAW is planning to expand the strike to additional sites on Friday. President Biden is schedule to speak at the UN this morning. Congressional republicans are unable to obtain on a consensus on the debt ceiling which is increasing the odds of a government shutdown on Oct 1. European stocks are mostly higher as the autos, energy and insurance stocks are displaying gain. Oil futures are displaying a strong move higher this morning.

European stocks are showing positive action this morning and oil futures will likely finish the week with another weekly gain.
