S&P Futures are fractionally higher this morning. Earnings from retailors and the industrial production report will be in focus this morning. In the afternoon, the market will be watching for the Fed meeting minutes which is likely to show only a minority of officials favored holding interest rates steady over the remainder of the year. In China overnight, new home sales fell month over month and two major brokers have lowered the GDP forecasts for the country. In Europe, stocks are mainly positive and oil prices moving slightly lower in the pre market.

S&P Futures are moving lower this morning. Economic data out of China was weaker than expected and is creating a negative catalyst for the markets this morning. This morning the markets will be paying attention to the Retail Sales report. In earnings news, Home Depot released better than expected earnings. In Washington, Speaker Kevin McCarthy said that he expects a "short term" funding measure will be necessary to avoid a government shutdown. In Europe, stocks are falling and oil prices are lower on dollar strength and concerns on China.
