Shares of ADSK are weak as it will be late with its annual report. The economic calendar is light today with Beige book data due out this afternoon. The Biden admin is looking to triple the tariffs on Chinese steel and aluminum products. The U.S. & The U.K are expected to announce a new round of sanction on Iran. In Europe markets are higher due to strong earnings reports. Oil prices are weakening with stockpile data in focus this morning.

S&P Futures are flat to lower this morning with multiple factors in play. The possibility of Israel striking back at Iran remains a hot topic for the markets. New expectations that the Fed will only issue 1 rate cut in 2024 has markets on edge. Corporate earnings remain a key driver for stocks. This morning BAC, BK, JNJ, PNC and UNH all reported better than expected results. Fed Chair Powell to speak today at 1:15 pm. In Europe markets are down by more than 1% and oil prices are displaying some weakness in the pre-market.

S&P Futures are trading higher this morning as market react to a de-escalation of tensions in the Middle East. The markets will continue to monitor the situation but will also be paying attention to this morning's Retail Sales report and corporate earnings announcements. Metals are higher amid new sanctions on Russia from the U.S. & the U.K. Salesforce.com is said to be eyeing a takeover of Informatica (INFA). Earnings are due out this morning from GS and SCHW. In Europe markets are displaying gains and oil prices are falling as Ian indicated that it is done with its retaliatory actions.

S&P Futures are slightly lower this morning. International events are playing a role in this morning's action. China is telling its telecom firms not to use foreign made chips. The Biden administration has added 6 Chinese companies to its blacklist. Iran is expected to launch a retaliatory strike within days. First quarter earnings season kicks off today with reports due out from a number of big banks. In Europe markets are displaying strong gains as inflation data is weakening. Oil prices are being support by Middle East tensions; IEA cut its forecast for oil-demand growth this year.

S&P Futures are lower this morning as markets remain bearish due to yesterdays CPI report which showed another month of rising inflation. As a result, the odds of a Fed rate cut are being push out to September. Markets are monitoring the headlines out of the Middle east as tensions are escalating. This morning, we have inflation indicator report being release, as the PPI final demand data is due out before the opening bell.
