S&P Futures are displaying slight gains this morning. Employment data remains a key focus this week and this morning ADP report may prove to be a key catalyst today. CEOs from the big banks will appear before the Senate today. It is expected that the banking executives will push back on the need to increase capital ratios. In Europe stocks are higher, The EU retail sales data displayed growth. Oil is prices continue to weaken due to demand weakness in China and an increase in oil production from non-OPEC members.

S&P Futures are trading lower this morning ahead of some key economic data points being released this morning. The overall marco narrative on the economy remains positive. There is a Goldman conference happening today and we will be hearing from a number of Bank CEOs (BAC, JPM & WFC). CVS, JNJ & SHOP are all scheduled to hold "analysts' day" today. Moody's downgraded its China Outlook due to its debt issues. In Europe stocks are mixed. ECB hawk Schnabel joined the chorus of council members saying that further hikes are unlikely given the positive surprise in recent inflation numbers. Oil is prices have turned from slightly higher to flat.

S&P Futures are trading lower this morning with the markets focusing on employment data this week. The key economic report for today will be the Factory Orders which comes out 30s after the opening bell. Alaska Air to buy Hawaiian Airlines, European drug make Roche to by Danish obesity drug maker. Carmot Therapeutics. Big layoffs were announced at Spotify and UBER to be added to the S&P 500. In Europe stocks are mostly lower with mining shares are weakening. Oil is trading slightly lower as traders continue to assess the details of the recent OPEC production curbs announcement.

S&P Futures are trading higher this morning. December is starting off with a number of markets moving events. Markets will be paying attention for comments from Fed Chair Jerome Powell who is scheduled to spear twice today. We also have the PMI data & Construction Spending reports due out this morning. TSLA is lower after unveiling their Cybertruck. Pfizer to discontinue weight loss pill due to high rate of adverse side effects. European stocks are higher on economic data and China state sponsored buying of index funds. Oil is trading slightly higher - the proposed OPEC production curbs appear to be more rhetoric than rule. Oil traders will soon be turning their attention to tensions in the Middle East.

S&P Futures are trading higher this morning. There are two key events on tap this morning. The first being an inflation reading which is expected to show continued progress in lowering the annual inflation rate. The second is OPEC's announcement on production quotas, both are market moving events. Cigna & Humana are said to be in merger talks. Occidental Petroleum is in talks to buy CrownRock. CRM & SNOW are higher on earnings beats. After the bell today watch for earnings announcements from DELL, MRVL, ULTA & PD. JP Morgan sees 8% downside risk for the S&P 500 next year. European stocks are higher after a report indicating that inflation in the EuroZone has slowed. Oil is trading despite weak economic data from China, the oil market is focused on today's OPEC announcement.

S&P Futures are displaying gains this morning. Comments by Fed Gov Waller yesterday were very noteworthy and indicates a less hawkish Fed. The odds of the central bank cutting rates in March by at least 25 basis points is priced at 42%, up from just 21% early Tuesday. GM reinstated quarterly guidance and announced a 10B share buyback. Congress is preparing to tighten U.S. investment in Chinese technology from the annual defense policy bill. After the bell today watch for earnings announcements from CRM, SNOW, PSTG, FIVE, PVH, OKTA & SNPS European stocks are mainly higher and oil prices are higher by more than 1%.
