In Europe, the major indexes are slightly higher with earnings and central bank meetings in focus. Oil prices are slightly higher as the stimulus news out of China is boosting sentiment.

In Europe, the major indexes are flat to higher and oil prices are positive by about 0.75%.

S&P Futures are trading higher this morning as tech stocks are displaying positive gains. News week we have the FOMC announcement and earnings announcement for the big tech stocks plus the NASD100 rebalancing. The NASD rebalancing take effect today after the close. Another important item happening next week is China's Politburo meeting where new stimulus measures are expected to be announced. In Europe, the major indexes are mostly higher and oil prices are positive by about 1%.

Discover Financial Services said it would pause share repurchases as it investigates a misclassification of credit card accounts from around mid-2007. This morning's key economic reports are the jobless claims and Existing Home sales, however, the market seems to be preparing for next week's FOMC announcement on interest rates. In Europe, the major indexes are trading higher and oil prices are displaying slight gains.

St Louis Fed Bank President James Bullard (hawk) has resigned. FTC asks appeals court to pause MSFT/ATVI merger. European indexes are mostly higher and oil prices are trading flat to lower but remain on track for another weekly gain.

Chinese regulators seem to have ended their tech stock probe sending Chinese stocks higher. Bank stocks are positive ahead of earnings announcements tomorrow and chip stocks are gaining.
