S&P Futures are indicating a positive opening today as earnings report continue to help push the markets higher. This morning we have positive action in BAC, BK &JNJ on earnings releases. GDP data out of China showed came in at +4.5% verse the expectation of +4.0%. Oil prices are slightly weaker this morning and market in Europe are showing gains.

S&P Futures are slightly higher this morning with the street focused on earnings results and Fed Speak in the week ahead. Economic data out of China this week is expected to show the country has started to recover from the pandemic. Merck has agreed to buy Prometheus Biosciences in a 10.8B deal. Oil prices are slightly weaker and European exchanges are higher this morning.

S&P Futures are lower this morning as shares of Boeing are selling off due to a supplier having delivery difficulties. JPM, UNH, BLK, WFC & PNC are moving higher on earnings results. Oil and European Indexes are moving higher. Key economic report today is the Retail Sales report.

S&P Futures are higher this morning as the market continues to price in the recent inflation data & the minutes from the FOMC meeting. FOMC minutes indicated for the first time that the Fed feels that a mild recession is possible later this year. Key economic reports for today are the Jobless Claims report & PPI (final demand). European markets are mixed to higher and oil is off by half of a percent.

S&P Futures are trading higher ahead of this morning's release of CPI data for March. Expectations are high that the data will indicate inflation slowed in March. This afternoon, the FOMC is scheduled to release its meeting minutes from the most recent Fed Decision meeting. Oil is higher, and European markets are displaying gains this morning.

S&P Futures are trading higher this morning as the market eyes inflation data. Tomorrow morning's CPI print will be closely watched e, expectations are for the March print to come in softer than the Feb print. European markets are higher this morning, Asian markets closed higher and oil has reversed direction and is not trading lower in the pre-market.

S&P Futures have turned lower this morning as traders start to assess Friday's Non Farm Payrolls data which indicated a slowdown in hiring. Overall markets are quiet with the European exchanges closed for Easter Monday. Oil is trading slightly higher. In the week ahead there are a number of key economic events such as the Feds meeting minutes and earnings reports from some of the major banks.

S&P Futures are pointing to a slightly higher opening. Volumes are expected to be light today due to the market holiday tomorrow. low volume days can lead to volatility. The labor market is in focus today as we have employment reports due out today and tomorrow. Multiple earnings report this morning, but the real earning season starts next Friday. European markets are higher and oil is partially lower this morning.

Equities seem to have stalled this morning yet JNJ is displaying some strong gains as the look to settle the talc lawsuits. Cleveland Fed Mester continues to be highly cautious on inflation and will be speaking this morning. Oil prices are slightly lower and markets in Europe are showing signs of caution this morning.
