S&P Futures are trading higher this morning as the market is reacting to yesterday's positive earning reports from NKE and FDX. In today's session, the market will have another housing report as well as a report on Consumer Confidence. European exchanges are trading higher and oil is higher by more than 1.5% as the API stockpiles data was bearish.

S&P Futures are trading flat to lower this morning on the back of a 4 day losing streak. The Bank of Japan made a change to its monetary policy overnight which is causing some nervousness this morning. Today, markets will be keeping an eye on housing data and earnings reports from NKE & FDX and oil prices are trending higher.

S&P Futures continue to trade in the red this morning as a reaction to the recent monetary policy moves by central banks. The key economic report today is the Flash Services PMI report for December due out shortly after the market opens. ADBE delivered a positive earnings report last night and shares are higher by roughly 4%. Oil prices remain weak and are down over 2% this morning.

S&P Futures are moving lower this morning as the market continues to digest yesterday's FOMC comments. On Wednesday the Fed indicated that it expects to push rates higher for longer in its effort to contain inflation. Key economic reports to pay attention to this morning are the Jobless Claims & Retail Sales reports. European exchanges are trading lower ahead of monetary announcements from the Bank of England and the ECB. Oil is flat to higher as yesterdays push higher may be too optimistic on a rebound of demand from China.

S&P Futures are trading flat to higher which is normal on days when the FOMC is scheduled to make a monetary policy announcement. Market volatility is expected at 2:00 pm ET today when the Fed makes its lastest policy announcement. Expectations are for a 50 basis point increase in the Fed Funds rate. The market will be looking for insights as to the future of rate hikes in 2023.

S&P Futures are trading higher this morning ahead of today's CPI release. The CPI report has the ability to spark volatility in the markets today. A further slowdown is expected, with annual CPI expected to increase by 7.3%, down from 7.7% in October. The FOMC meeting starts today and this morning's CPI release will likely be a factor in their decision on interest rates which is scheduled for release tomorrow morning. Oil futures are moving higher as the Keystone pipeline remains offline.

Positive news events this morning include, AMGN confirming 27.8B deal for HZNP, MSFT buying a 4% equity stake in the London Stock Exchange, and Thoma Bravo in advanced talks to acquire COUP. Oil prices continue to move lower which is increasing the possibility of a soft landing.

S&P Futures turned lower following a hotter than expected inflation reading after trending higher earlier this morning. This morning's PPI report for November will likely be the key market-moving event today. November’s producer price index showed wholesale prices rise 0.3% last month and 7.4% year-over year, expectations were 7.2%.

S&P Futures are displaying gains in the pre-market. The market has been weak for 5 straight sessions. Weakness ahead of an FOMC meeting is not unusual, however, prior to next week's FOMC meeting we have some key inflationary reports due out including tomorrow's PPI and next week's CPI reports. European markets are slightly lower ahead of a speech later today from ECB president Lagarde. Oil prices hold onto slight gains this morning.
