S&P Futures after being positive all morning, futures have just gone negative. There are a host of companies scheduled to release their earnings this morning including NTRS, NDAQ, BKR, BIIB, and ABT. After the bell today we will be hearing from SLG, AA, UAL, EFX, LVS, DFS, CSX, CCI, and TSLA. After the opening bell this morning we have economic reports on Existing Home Sales and the official EIA stockpiles report. News reports indicate that mortgage demand has dropped to a 22 year low.

S&P Futures are moving higher this morning as earning season starts becoming more active. This morning JNJ delivered a beat on higher revenue and this afternoon we will be hearing from JBHT, IBKR & NFLX. Housing Starts and Building Permits is due out one hour before the market opens. Weakness is being seen in crude oil this morning. The major European indexes opened down, but are now trading higher.

S&P Futures are pointing towards a higher opening this morning as the market prepares for a flood of economic releases and bank earnings. Concerns about the Fed raising rates a full percentage point have dampened as Fed officials that spoke yesterday remained focused on a 75 basis point increase which is what the market has been expecting. Elliott Mgmt is said to have taken a position in Pinterest. Bank earnings are coming in lower than expected. Oil is trading 2% higher an European exchanges are trading higher this morning.

S&P Futures are trading lower this morning as the market prepares for this morning's economic releases. JP Morgan delivered an earnings miss this morning as 2Q profit fell by 28%. Morgan Stanley is also expected to release earnings this morning. Bond yields are on the rise as recent talk of a possible 1% hike in rates is causing weakness in equities. Oil is trading lower ahead of Biden's meeting tomorrow with Saudi Arabia, the meeting is unlikely to result in a significant increase in their oil production.

S&P Futures have been displaying a slight gain all morning long. The key catalyst for today is this morning's CPI release due out 1 hour before the market opens. Oil is slightly higher this morning after a dropping 7% yesterday. One hour after the opening bell, the EIA will release the official stockpiles report. Earnings season is getting underway, tomorrow we will have earnings reports from JPM, MS, CAG, TSM and others.

S&P Futures are lower this morning as economic conditions are weighing on traders' minds. Tomorrow's CPI release is expected to show another increase in inflation as oil prices were elevated during the month of June. Rising Covid cases in China are likely to cause another round of lockdown and the small business optimism index has called to its lowest level since the start of the pandemic.

S&P Futures are lower this morning with energy and earnings in focus. Oil is falling due to an anticipated drop in Chinese demand as Covid infections have increased. The market is preparing for earning season to start. Traders will be looking to gauge how effective companies have been in dealing with the recent jump in inflation. Elon Musk has ended his proposed take over of Twitter, Twitter is expected to initiate a lawsuit to either force a deal or force Musk to pay a 1B fee for not going thru with the buyout.

S&P Futures are slightly lower this morning as the market is waiting on economic data being released 1 hour before the market opens. Next week is the start of earnings season with reports due out from DAL, MS, TSM, JPM, WFC, C, and more later in the week. In Japan, former Prime Minister Abe was assassinated at a campaign rally. President Biden is scheduled to meet with his advisor today to discuss the removal of Chinese tariffs.
