S&P Futures are moving slightly higher this morning. Banks are displaying positive momentum due to announcements of buybacks and dividend increases as all major banks past the Fed's stress test. TSLA will be releasing its 2Q sales figures today. Healthcare stocks are weakening as CNC withdraws 2025 guidance. While the Senate past President Trump's tax bill yesterday, the bill faces significant difficulties in the House. House GOP leaders are aiming for a July 4 deadline to pass the bill, but internal rifts and policy disagreements make its passage in the current form uncertain. S&P Futures are positive this morning due to trade talks and developments on the budget reconciliation bill. Canada has officially dropped its Digital Services Tax (DST) proposal, just hours before the first payments were due. The Senate is moving forward with a vote on the reconciliation bill, officially titled the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act," with a final vote expected as early as today. The latest draft of the bill, published Friday, deals a significant setback to the renewable energy industry by sharply reducing or eliminating key tax credits for clean energy projects. On the economic calendar, employment data will be in focus this week. The Non-Farms Payrolls report is being released on Thursday due to the Friday holiday. S&P Futures are trading higher this morning. The dollar is weakening, which is a positive for corporate earnings, however, a weaker dollar is also considered inflationary. Media reports indicate that President Trump is actively considering naming his pick to succeed Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, with the aim of shaping a more dovish narrative around interest rates. President Trump has a "One Big Beautiful Bill event today, the event is designed to pressure GOP holdouts. There is an EU Leaders Summit today which will cover topics such as Ukraine, the Middle East, Trump Tariffs, EU Defense and migration policy. On the economic calendar is data on Weekly jobless claims, durable-goods orders for May, the third estimate for first-quarter GDP, pending home sales. Micron shares are higher after its earnings beat. NKE to release earnings after the bell today.
